When you use Veclify, we collect the following information:
- Account information: email address, name (optional), and hashed password when you register.
- Usage data: images you upload for vectorization, conversion history, and feature usage statistics.
- Payment information: processed entirely by Dodo Payments (our Merchant of Record). We do not store your credit card or bank details.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and interaction logs for security and analytics.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use collected data to:
- Provide and maintain the Veclify service.
- Process your vectorization requests and deliver output files.
- Manage your account, subscription, and billing via Dodo Payments.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Improve our service based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns.
- Send essential service communications (account updates, payment receipts).
3. Image Processing & Storage
Images you upload for vectorization are transmitted securely to our servers for processing. We do not use your uploaded images to train AI models. Uploaded images are deleted immediately after processing is complete. Output SVG files and conversion history are stored in your account and can be deleted at any time from your dashboard.
Other tools (image compression, format conversion, resizing, QR code generation, color palette extraction, and EXIF viewing) process data locally in your browser and do not transmit your images to our servers.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Dodo Payments: for payment processing, subscription management, and tax compliance.
- Service providers: infrastructure hosting, email delivery, and monitoring — bound by data processing agreements.
- Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting [email protected]. Uploaded images are deleted immediately after processing. Vectorized outputs are retained until you delete them or your account is closed. Payment records are retained for the period required by applicable tax laws (typically 7 years).
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Object to or restrict processing of your data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is consent-based).
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures: TLS encryption in transit, password hashing (bcrypt), JWT-based authentication with short-lived tokens, rate limiting on auth endpoints, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Client-Side Security: We implement client-side security measures to protect the integrity of our service, including runtime integrity checks that monitor for debugging and tampering attempts. These measures do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
9. Children's Privacy
Veclify is not intended for children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
